Clackamas Arts Alliance offers a new workshop series for makers & creatives artists. This workshop offers a way to explore your business potential and opportunities.

Are you a maker or creative artist looking to turn your passion into a profitable venture? Operating a creative art business allows you to do what you love while earning an income.

The Arts Alliance is offering these workshops as a way for creatives to:

  • Connect and hear success stories from other makers and creative artists
  • Introduce you to a decision making guide for making informed decisions
  • Guide you through the process of evaluating business opportunities
  • Encourage consideration of financial, artistic and personal factors
  • Connect with additional organizations that support small business

Come to just one or attend all three educational opportunities to enhance your business, art, and networking.

If you want to combine your creative skills with your entrepreneurial savviness and start a business to leverage your artistic skills, then you’re in luck. Whether you’re just starting or looking to expand your existing business, these workshops can help you leverage your artistic abilities by doing what you love.

Raziah Roushan

Bryan Fuentez

The June 24th event will be our final June Makers & Creative Workshops. We will be joined by two guest speakers sharing their expertise to support your entrepreneurial spirit.

Raziah Roushan is a professional artist and arts advocate, will share her expertise in How to Price and Market Your Creative Work and Services.

This workshop is designed for entry to mid-level entrepreneurs in the arts fields, including visual arts, literary arts, performance arts, and any other modality that intends to retail or provide custom creative work for customers/clients. Information being covered encompasses calculating overhead, setting oneself a working wage, integrating profit goals, and examples of marketing practices to determine effective strategies per one’s products or services.

Bryan Fuentez is the Associate Director of Clackamas Workforce Partnership and has worked in workforce development for over 20 years. Bryan will share how the workforce system is a collection of partners working to support Clackamas area residents and businesses. How you can use CWP’s resources to expand your professional development to meet your business needs. How can you work with CWP’s staff to better understand your professional strengths, gifts, and capacities?
