“I use digital illustration media to represent imagined moments in nature, history, and myth. I am looking for the emotional connection in those moments that ties them to where we are in this current moment. I am inspired by the children’s book illustration styles that appeal to our sense of innocence with a luminous whimsy. It is my intention to create a narrative within the image that connects to our universal experiences. Most of my artistic experience is in acrylic and mixed media, and I enjoy bringing my love of texture, layers, and painterly quality to the digital medium.”
