Dan Hassler is a recreational wildlife photographer in Portland, Oregon. He hikes hundreds of miles locally each year to visit the animals that are the focus of his work — primarily mountain goats, bighorn sheep, owls and elk. For this exhibit, Dan focused on Oregon’s California bighorn sheep (Ovis canadensis californiana) population. These photos are a small sample of the images that he has captured during over two-hundred hours spent in the Deschutes River and John Day River canyons.
