ABOUT

Clackamas County Safe Routes to School (SRTS) aims to make communities safer, healthier, and more fun by combining route improvements, traffic safety promotion, and educational activities to encourage students to walk or roll to and from school and around their community. The program goal is to build awareness of the benefits of being physically active and utilizing active transportation while promoting safety among all road users.

Elementary and middle school students in the county were invited to submit entries to the annual Safe Routes to School art contest in the Spring of 2023. Selected winners were featured on TriMet buses and benches around the county for several weeks in early Summer. Details on the 2024 contest will be coming soon!
