New Century Players Community Theatre holds auditions for the comedy, “Social Security”
In this Broadway comedy by Andrew Bergman, a married couple who are art dealers have their domestic tranquility shattered when the wife’s sister and her husband dump the sisters’ elderly mother on them. When the art dealers’ most celebrated artist client comes to visit, everything goes wrong – and then the surprises start.

- This is a non-paying community theatre production.
- All roles are available and may be played by any ethnicity and any gender.
- Auditions are open to all and will consist of cold readings.
- Headshots and resumes are nice but not required.
- Please arrive at the start of auditions.

- Saturday, June 7 from 10 AM to 1 PM
- Sunday, June 8 from 10 AM to 1 PM
Callbacks: June 10 from 6:30 to 9 PM

Performance dates: July 25th through August 3rd
Character Breakdown:
David Kahn – Middle-aged man, manages a upscale art dealership in Manhattan.
Barbara Kahn – Middle-aged woman, partner with her husband in their upscale art dealership.
Trudy Heyman – Barbara’s middle aged sister, semi-stylish hairdo, sensible and dull clothes.
Martin Heyman – Trudy’s middle-aged husband, bespectacled CPA, often looks uncomfortable.
Sophie – Barbara and Trudy’s elderly mother, uses a walker, very grumpy.
Maurice Koenig – an elderly minimalist artist, natty dresser, prized client of the Kahn’s art dealership.
