Historical Antique Quilt Show

The Molalla Area Historical Society will be hosting a display of antique quilts June 28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the museum complex, 620 S. Molalla, Avenue, Molalla. Admission is $5 per person and $3 for senior citizens.

Among the display are quilts that travelled across the country to Oregon in the backs of covered wagons. Others were made by the first immigrants to settle in the area. The diverse work ranges from traditional patterns to patterns derived from the maker’s land of origin. Local quilters will be on hand to demonstrate quilting skills and provide information to those interested in exploring the art.
