ABOUT THE PRESENTERS

DJ Schneider developed his creative writing skills at the San Francisco Art Institute and The Cabin in  Boise, Idaho. He just released his fourth novel, The Stones of  Carnac, in the Melanie Simpson Mystery series. When David isn’t chasing Melanie Simpson around to document her next great adventure, he is buried deep in an Oregon burrow he calls The Writing Cave. There, under the light of a gooseneck lamp, he can be found transcribing Melanie’s amazing adventures to paper, and working on other inspired novels and tales. David is a member of SCBWI, NIWA, and the Gresham Writers.

Ariella-Sophie Sternberg, a graduate of Evergreen State College (BA) and Lewis & Clark College (MAT), is an artist, teacher, poet, and broadcaster. In addition to her work as an arts educator and the Community Outreach & Engagement Manager for the Clackamas Arts Alliance, Ariella has worked as a production editor at HarperCollins Publishers, where she learned the nitty-gritty of publishing production schedules, as well as the fine points of copyediting, proofreading, and digital layout and design. Ariella is happy to call Milwaukie, OR, her home, where she creates in the productive hubbub of a large and busy garden.
