Makers & Creative Artists Workshops | Theatre Auditions for Adult Beginners

Join the Clackamas Arts Alliance and New Century Players for our upcoming Makers & Creative Artists Workshop, Theatre Auditions for Adults Beginners (or just those who just haven’t done it in a while).
In this workshop, we will explore the ins and outs of theatre auditions! Led by New Century Players’ Board President, Brandee Palmblad, this workshop will prepare adults for their very first theatre audition or help those looking to re-grace the stage after life pulled them away. We will be answering questions such as:
- What is a side?
- What is a headshot
- How does a theatre resume differ from a job resume—and do I need one?
- What is a “cold reading”?
- How do you pick a 16-bar cut of a song?
- Participants will have an opportunity to walk through a mock audition, get tips on selecting a monologue, get a sneak peek into what it’s like for the folks on the other side of the table, and more!
Please bring something to take notes for yourself and any audition materials you may have already if you’d like advice. Please dress comfortably. Please register HERE.
WHEN: March 14, 2026, 2:00 – 3:30pm
