Stairwell Gallery: Polly Zagone’s Textiles

This October, the Stairwell Gallery will showcase the richly textured textile works of Polly Zagone, a self-taught artist whose lifelong devotion to stitching, fabric, and handcrafted detail transforms everyday materials into vibrant, dimensional art. Drawing on decades of experience as a cabinetmaker, woodworker, and theater craftsperson, Zagone layers hand dyed fabrics and found objects into pieces with bold colors and designs. Her custom wood hangers and hand braided Kumihimo cords add further depth and craftsmanship to each piece.
