The Look Back Lecture Series: Birds of the Pacific Northwest

June 12, 2025 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm PDT
Free

Live, in-person, history programs are back at the Museum of the Oregon Territory with the Look Back Lecture series! See experts recount histories from our region, ranging from culture and community to nature and ecology. Come see the latest in our 2025 series with “Birds of the Pacific Northwest” presented by Karen DeWitz.

Karen DeWitz loves nothing better than to grab her camera and head outside to explore, delighting in the sometimes-well-hidden discoveries to be made along the way. This includes the many beautiful bird species that call Oregon home. Utilizing her rich background in instruction, outdoor education, and photography, DeWitz will deliver a presentation on the birds one might see while camping in Clackamas County. Karen DeWitz is a former teacher with a master’s degree in education, who understands how to intrigue and inspire young minds both in the classroom and in the Northwest’s wild spaces.

Admission to the 2025 Look Back Lecture series is free thanks to the Union Pacific Railroad Community Ties Giving Program.
