The Tilikum Chamber Orchestra presents a concert that could be pulled from the salons of Paris, circa 1925. This show of intimate chamber orchestra works features music composed in or nearby Paris, includes Mozart’s famous “Paris Symphony,” which Mozart wrote in the city while prospecting for potential employers at age 22.

Fauré’s “Masques et Bergamasques” and André Caplet’s “Légende” explore colorful orchestrations and gorgeous expressive melodies typical of the late Romantic style, while Gail Sophie’s masterful and newly re-discovered 1815 work “Overture to ‘The Jealous Two'” is full of vigorous energy and delightful charm. We are also delighted to present local composer Nicole Buetti’s work for string orchestra, “Sforza!”
