Join TCO for an evening of Romantic Contrasts as Kevin A. Lefohn, guest conductor, directs the orchestra in Felix Mendelssohn’s precocious “String Symphony No. 10” and Sir Edward Elgar’s richly melodic “Three Characteristic Pieces”. Emilie Mayer’s “Symphony No. 1 in C minor”, a significant work by one of the most important women composers of the 19th century, will round out the program with its rich orchestration, lush harmonies, and melodic lines.

Through collaboration with the Metropolitan Youth Symphony, Tilikum Chamber Orchestra welcomes members of the MYS ensemble Hillsboro Camerata, conducted by Kevin A. Lefohn, to join us in the Mendelssohn String Symphony.
