World Cinema Series: L’Immensità (Italian)

Join us for a screening of L’Immensità. Originally presented in Italian, it will be shown with English subtitles. Step into 1970s Rome with L’Immensità, a deeply moving drama inspired by director Emanuele Crialese’s own experiences as a trans man. This heartfelt film explores themes of family, identity, and resilience, focusing on a young person navigating gender identity and trans issues, alongside a mother’s unwavering love, brought to life by the brilliant Penélope Cruz. L’Immensità is part of the Lake Oswego Public Library’s World Cinema Series, a monthly event showcasing diverse international films. This series takes place at Lake Theater & Cafe on the last Tuesday of every month at 5:30 PM.

Admission is free and no ticket is required (although food and drink purchases are encouraged to offset the cost to the Lake Theater). Can’t make it to the screening? Library patrons can also stream L’Immensità on the library’s Kanopy streaming service using your Lake Oswego Public Library card.
