NEWS NOW! JANUARY 2023

Happy New Year from the Arts Alliance! We are delighted to be relaunching our monthly News Now newsletter this month with our fresh look and feel. In maintaining our commitment to keeping arts and culture central to life in Clackamas County, we wrapped up a great year of programming.

In 2022 –

Through our Youth Arts for Change Program, 190 vulnerable and underserved youth developed skills for positive and constructive expression utilizing the arts. The importance of a creative outlet was particularly apparent as these youth processed and responded to the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Through our Artist Exhibit Program, we installed 60 unique gallery shows, featuring 119 artists and 595 pieces of art! Make sure you follow us on Facebook and Instagram to see the latest installations.

Looking Forward –

At the beginning of this new year, we are thrilled to continue elevating and providing a voice to all things arts and culture in our community.

If you haven’t already, make sure to check out our new and improved Events Calendar. Not only can you submit your own arts and culture events, but you can find a myriad of fun things to do throughout the county!

We also look forward to sharing all of the great projects our Youth Arts for Change students have been working on as well as announcing our 2023 Artist Exhibit Program artists. So stay tuned for those exciting updates!

Last, but certainly not least, our very own Literary Arts Committee is hosting a county-wide writing contest in four different genres. If you are literarily inclined, be sure to check out the opportunity, and enter your piece before the contest deadline of April 3, 2023.
