This introductory course presents Kogin embroidery, a traditional Japanese counted-thread embroidery from the Tsugaru region of Aomori, Japan. Participants will learn the cultural background, basic tools, and fundamental stitching techniques of Kogin, and will complete a small sampler or begin a simple motif during the session. No prior embroidery experience is required.
