CALL TO ARTISTS – Artist to speak during lunch to elementary students
The Knight Elementary in Canby is having different speakers visit lunches at the elementary school to talk about their job.
“We will talk to a grade level at a time and ask questions about things like how you decided on your job, how you were trained or learned to do your job, what you love about your job, tools you use in your job. We want to have kids hear about different kinds of jobs and careers to create greater awareness and excitement about the world of work. I am the school counselor at the school and I will be there to facilitate and ask questions. Ideally, the someone who would come would feel comfortable speaking in front of people and talking with kids. We are looking for a speaker on May the 19th or May the 20th from 10:45am-12:55pm, which is the length of all of our lunches. It is possible to schedule it a bit shorter if we don’t visit all lunches. Speakers can send me pictures that I can project on a screen during their visit if they would like.”
